What Mix My Bottle stores and sends

Your recipes never leave your device. The website keeps an anonymous visit count; the app keeps nothing at all. There are no accounts, no advertising and no sale or sharing of data.

Open the calculator

Your recipes

Every calculation runs in your browser or in the app. Bottle sizes, carbohydrate targets, ingredient choices and results are not sent anywhere. Copying or sharing a recipe uses your device's clipboard or share sheet and goes only where you send it.

The website remembers your language, measurement units and light or dark theme when you choose them. It stores those choices in your browser's local storage. On iPhone, dismissing the app suggestion is remembered for the current browser tab's session. Cloudflare's country information sets the initial measurement units when you have not chosen them; this needs no device location permission or separate lookup. The app also remembers your last bottle on the device so it is there when you return. None of this is transmitted.

The website (mixmybottle.com)

When a page loads, the server records one anonymous visit: the page path, the country Cloudflare derives from the connection, whether the device is a phone, tablet or computer, the referring site's hostname (or "direct") and the time. It does not record your IP address, a user identifier or anything you enter. A cookie named mmb_session, containing a random value, prevents one browsing session from being counted twice; it expires after 30 minutes and is not used for anything else.

The website also loads Cloudflare Web Analytics, which reports page views to Cloudflare without cookies, fingerprinting or cross-site tracking. Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's hosting network process requests under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Content blockers that stop this script do not affect the calculator.

Links to research papers, manufacturer pages and Cloudflare open external sites with their own privacy practices.

The iOS app

The app is the same calculator packaged to run offline. It contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs beyond the Capacitor shell that displays it, and it makes no network requests of its own. Your last bottle is stored only on your device and is removed when you delete the app. Apple may provide us with aggregated App Store statistics such as download counts, which are covered by Apple's own privacy terms.

Children

Mix My Bottle is a planning aid for adult endurance athletes and is not directed at children.
